پیش زمینه : مجموعه کتابهای انه توسط نویسنده کانادایی لوسی مودمونتگمری نوشته شد که ابتدا ی داستان از یک اشتباه شروع میشود اشتباهی که زندگی انه را نجات میدهد . انه دختری با موهای قرمز بلند پرواز پر جنب وجوش است که مجموعه کتابهای انه بر اساس کتاب انه از گرین گیبلز نوشته میشود و داستانهای انه نیز با سن او سیر تکاملی می یابد .

1866- انه به دنیا می اید و والدین خود را در سه ماهگی از دست میدهد و در کنار خانواده توماس زندگی میکند تا سن 8 سالگی .

1867- انه یک ساله است 

1868- انه دوساله است.

1869- انه سه سال دارد .

1870- انه چهار ساله است .

1871- انه پنج ساله است .

1872- انه شش ساله است .

1873- انه هفت ساله است .

1874- انه هشت ساله است وبا خانواده هاموند زندگی میکند .

1878-انه دوازده سال دارد . انه کیک بدمزه می پزد انه پایش را در بالای سقف خونه باری ها میشکند .متیو به انه لباس استین پوفی هدیه میدهد . 

1879- انه سیزده سال دارد . انه موهایش را سبز میکند .انه با گیلبرت در رودخانه مواجهه میشود (در زمان غرق شدن ) انه شروع به درس خوندن برای کالج کویین میکند.

1879- انه چهارده سال دارد. 

1881- انه پانزده سال دارد .امتحان ورودی ازمون کالج کویین برگزار میشود. انه کنیسرت در هتل اجرا میکند .انه در کالج کویین ثبت نام میکند .

1882- انه شانزده سال دارد .  انه مدرک تدریس خود را میگیرد .انه بورس تحصیلی دانشگاه اوری را میگیرد .متیو میمیرد . انه در مدرسه اونلی تدریس میکند دورا ودیوی به گرین گیبلز می ایند .

1883- انه هفده سال دارد .(در انیمیشن نیامده )انه و دایانا  خانم لاوندر لوییز را ملاقات میکنند.

1884- انه هیجده سال دارد . خانم ریچل لیند به گرین گیبلز می اید خانم لاوندر لوییز با اقای استفان ایروینگ ازدواج میکند. انه در دانشگاه  ردموند ثبت نام میکند .

1885- انه نوزده سال دارد . انه واستلا وپرسیلیا وفلیپا به پاتی میروند.

1886- انه بیست سال دارد. گیلبرت از انه خواستگاری میکند وانه به گیلبرت جواب منفی میدهد . انه با رویال گاردنر اشنا میشود . 

1887- انه بیست ویک سال دارد . دایانا ازدواج میکند انه اخرین سال تحصیلی در دانشگاه ردموند را سپری میکند . 

1888- انه بیست ودو سال دارد. انه از دانشگاه ردموند فارغ التحصیل میشود . انه خواستگاری رویال گاردنر را رد میکند وگیلبرت دوباره از انه خواستگاری میکند و انه جواب مثبت میدهد . گیلبرت به دانشگاه پزشکی میرود .انه ریاست دبیرستان تابستانی را قبول میکند .

1889- انه بیست وسه سال دارد . انه به دومین سال ریاست در دبیرستان  تابستانی و ویندی پاپلز ادامه میدهد .

1890- انه بیست وچهار سال دارد. به چهارمین سال ریاست در ویندی پاپلز ادامه میدهد. 

1891- انه بیست وپنج سال دارد . انه وگیلبرت ازدواج میکنند و به خانه ی خودشان (خانهی رویاها ) در فر ویندز هاربر میروند.

1892- انه بیست وشش سال دارد فرزند اول انه به نام جویس به دنیا امده ودر همان روز میمیرد.

1893- انه بیست وهفت سال دارد . فرزند دوم انه جیم به دنیا می اید . کاپیتان جیم میمیرد . انه وگیلبرت به انگل ساید میروند .
